Common sense of industrial lubricants that we all need to know

Industrial lubricants have a wide range of applications, and there are many types of base oils, such as: pure mineral oil, PAO polyɑ thin hydrocarbon composition oil, polyether composition oil, alkyl benzene oil, and biodegradable lipid oil. When they become certain industrial lubricants, they cannot be mixed with each other. For example, after polyether component oil is mixed with other industrial oils, its performance will be significantly reduced.

Mainly include hydraulic oil, gear oil, turbine oil, compressor oil, refrigeration oil, transformer oil, vacuum pump oil, bearing oil, metal processing oil (liquid), anti-rust grease, cylinder oil, heat treatment oil and heat transfer oil. In addition, there are greases with lubricating oil as the base oil and thickening agent. Industrial lubricants have different additives in different applications. The hydraulic oil for outdoor use must be suitable for local temperature changes, and the hydraulic oil for indoor airtight environment cannot be used. The operating conditions of other heavy-duty gear oils and forming oils are also different. Heavy-duty gear oils contain extreme pressure increasing agents to ensure that they can be used in harsh environments. The forming oils are usually pure mineral oils and do not contain additives.

The basic performance and primary selection principle of industrial lubricants is viscosity, so it must be introduced first. GB/T3141-94 is the ISO viscosity classification of industrial liquid lubricants, which is equivalent to the international standard ISO3448-1992 "Industrial Liquid Lubricants-ISO Viscosity Classification". Generally speaking, in the working conditions of medium speed, medium load and temperature not too high, choose medium viscosity lubricating oil; in the working conditions of high load, low speed and high temperature, choose high viscosity lubricating oil or increase extreme pressure resistance Lubricating oil for abrasives; low-viscosity lubricating oil is selected under low load, high speed and low temperature conditions; under wide-high and low temperature scale, light load and high speed, and other special requirements, select composition lubrication oil.

Stability of car gasoline

Stability of car gasoline

The ability of gasoline to resist oxidation under certain external conditions. Referred to as stability. Gasoline will oxidize in storage to form colloidal and corrosive oxides.
